At Officina—Italian for “workshop”—Chef Nicholas Stefanelli has built a culinary playground. It is the result of a lifelong dream to bring together the best of Italian gastronomy— shopping, dining, and home cooking—together under one roof.
Throughout his childhood in his grandparents’ kitchens and his travels to the masserie estates of Puglia, Chef Stefanelli developed a deep love for the warm, artisanal Italian culinary tradition. Both at his first restaurant, the Michelin-starred Masseria, and at the Wharf’s own Officina, he shows the nation’s capital the personal style and hospitality that he draws from these experiences and invites his friends and guests to craft their own culinary experiences.
